About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team as a Team Lead, Management Reporting & Operations at RHB Investment Banking. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive process improvements across accounting and operational functions. You will play a key role in managing reporting accuracy, leading a team, and enhancing internal systems and procedures.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Oversee documentation processes and ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Ensure team members follow established standards and best practices
  • Continuously drive improvements and enhancements in processes and systems
  • Provide guidance to ensure accurate recording of journal entries in line with accounting policies, with proper supporting documentation
  • Coordinate and manage timely month-end closing activities
  • Analyze General Ledger and Trial Balance to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Review Board papers related to bank account operations and authorized signatories
  • Manage and approve payment authorization processes
  • Review monthly trade transaction reconciliations (creation, cancellation, redemptions)
  • Review and monitor monthly bank reconciliations, including ageing items
  • Lead Accounts Receivable portfolio and minimize long outstanding balances
  • Prepare financial data for Management Reporting
  • Review Unclaimed Money submissions
  • Oversee monthly e-invoicing reporting and reconciliation
  • Identify gaps in processes and implement improvements
  • Monitor system implementation and enhancements (e.g., Bank Reconciliation and AR systems)
  • Update Department Operations Memorandum (OM)
  • Liaise with Internal/External Auditors, Group Tax, and regulators (e.g., Securities Commission, FiMM)
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and feedback to team members
  • Execute operational tasks requiring functional expertise
  • Deliver outputs aligned with team objectives
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
