About the Role

As Team Leader Full Delegation Business Controller, you will play a key role in the expansion of our Full Delegation model at FICOM. This position has been created as part of the development of our center of expertise, with FICOM taking on additional scope to support ANL (CMA CGM's entity in Australia) for the financial control of around 4-5 shipping lines.

While the position will be an individual contributor role, it is designed with a Team Lead dimension, as you will:

Take full ownership of the new scope, including setup of processes, reporting standards, and communication flows.

Serve as the key finance contact for ANL stakeholders (based in Melbourne), developing strong partnerships across operations, trade, and finance teams.

This role requires a high level of autonomy, structure, and proactivity, as you will build and stabilize the processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Scope & Process Ownership

  • Lead the launch and structuring of Full Delegation controlling processes for ANL's 4-5 lines.
  • Set up and stabilize reporting cycles (Flash, Actuals, Forecast, Budget) in alignment with Group standards.
  • Ensure high-quality, timely, and accurate reporting of financial results and variance analyses.

Business Partnering

  • Build strong working relationships with ANL teams (Melbourne) and key stakeholders (Line Management, Trade, Operations, Cargo Flow and the Line Controlling Controllers).
  • Understand the operational, commercial, and financial dynamics of the lines to provide meaningful analysis and insights.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to support decision-making.

Leadership

  • Act as Team Lead for the scope: even as a sole contributor, drive the vision, structure, and standards.
  • Plan your reviews & meeting, communicate, improve.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance reporting quality, consistency, and efficiency.

Financial & Business Acumen Strong understanding of P&L management, shipping operations, variance analysis.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Ability to deep dive into data, identify issues, and propose solutions.

Leadership Potential

Technical Skills Strong command of Excel; familiarity with financial reporting systems

Your Profile

  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in controlling, audit, or financial business partnering, ideally with exposure to shipping, logistics, or multinational environments
  • Excellent level of English (spoken & written)
  • Strong ability to work independently, take ownership, and build new processes
