We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Team Leader Quay Crane to lead our team of technicians in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of quay crane (QC) equipment. This role is critical in driving performance, safety, and continuous improvement within our terminal operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision Lead and coordinate a team of technicians in daily operations, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
- Safety First Foster a strong safety culture, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and ensure compliance with all HSSE requirements.
- Maintenance Excellence Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, supervise contractors and OEMs, and verify all work meets quality standards.
- Troubleshooting & Reliability Conduct system inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement improvement initiatives to enhance crane reliability.
- Team Development Provide on-the-job training, identify skill gaps, and support the professional growth of your team.
- Operational Support Assist in planning, evaluate breakdown reports, prepare warranty claims, and step in as Duty Manager when required.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years engineering experience, preferably in heavy equipment or port operations.
- Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Proficient in English and Malay (verbal and written) and computer literate.
