Job Purpose *
- Lead the Recruitment & Training function within the Collections & Recovery Department, with primary responsibility for training excellence, capability development, workforce readiness, and continuous improvement.
- Drive learning and development initiatives through training design, facilitation, coaching, and knowledge-sharing programmes to enhance staff competency, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
- Support recruitment activities, workforce planning, and onboarding readiness in collaboration with GHR to ensure the department maintains a capable talent pipeline and operational readiness.
- Partner with Management, GHR, and key stakeholders to implement initiatives that strengthen organisational capability, employee engagement, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities *
Business Performance and Management
- Lead the design, development, and continuous enhancement of training programmes, learning initiatives, and capability-building interventions for the Collections & Recovery Department.
- Act as a lead facilitator by conducting and delivering training sessions, workshops, refreshers, and knowledge-sharing programmes to enhance staff competency, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify training needs and implement learning solutions to enhance collection effectiveness, customer engagement, operational performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive trainer development through coaching, mentoring, and quality interventions to ensure training excellence, content quality, and delivery effectiveness.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, recommending improvements to enhance workforce competency, operational performance, and business outcomes.
- Support recruitment activities, workforce planning, and onboarding readiness in collaboration with GHR and business stakeholders.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives, department engagement activities, and knowledge-sharing programmes.
- Manage departmental budgets, reports, KPIs, and deliverables to ensure timely and effective execution.
People Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop the Recruitment & Training team to achieve departmental objectives and deliver high-quality support services.
- Foster a high-performance learning culture through coaching, mentorship, and continuous capability development.
- Build subject matter expertise within the team to support evolving Collections & Recovery products, processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Management and stakeholders to implement training and talent development strategies aligned with business goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, feedback sessions, and development discussions to enhance team effectiveness and career growth.
Regulatory Compliance
- Support audit readiness and maintain satisfactory audit outcomes through effective controls, monitoring, and compliance practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines and regulations, including FSA/IFSA 2013, Fair Debt Collection Practices, and other applicable legal, regulatory, and governance requirements.
- Ensure all training and recruitment activities adhere to established compliance, governance, risk management, and organizational standards.
Relevant Work Experience
- Preferably minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in Training, Learning & Development, Talent Development, or Human Resource management.
- Experience in leading training functions, designing learning programs, facilitating training sessions, and mentoring trainers is highly preferred.
- Experience in recruitment and stakeholder management will be an added advantage.
