Tech-IDC-Security Engineer

1. Perform routine security inspections within assigned IDC areas and identify potential security risks or abnormal conditions.

2. Support implementation and execution of Alibaba Cloud security procedures and operational controls.

3. Support security-related incident identification, recording, escalation and follow-up.

4. Assist in security risk remediation and closure tracking under the direction of Alibaba Cloud.

5. Support security-related drills, inspections, testing and emergency activities when requested.

6. Assist with maintaining security records, inspection logs, issue tracking and related documentation.

7. Support coordination with IDC operations, facilities, IT operations and other relevant teams for security-related matters.

8. Follow Alibaba Cloud's security, confidentiality, access control and EHS requirements at all times.

9. Support other routine security operational activities within the agreed service scope.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, Security Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in security operations, data centre security, site security, or a related field.
3. Experience in data centre / IDC, critical infrastructure, construction, facilities, or large-scale project environments is highly preferred.
4. Knowledge of security procedures, access control, security inspections, risk identification, incident management, and emergency response.
5. Ability to conduct routine site security inspections and identify potential security risks, abnormal conditions, or non-compliance issues.
6. Familiarity with SOPs, security controls, risk remediation, issue tracking, and documentation.
7. Basic understanding of EHS, confidentiality, physical security, and access control requirements.
8. Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with IDC Operations, Facilities, IT Operations, contractors, and other stakeholders.
9. Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to follow established procedures and operational controls.
10. Able to support security drills, inspections, testing, emergency activities, and other project-related security operations when required.
11. Good command of English for daily communication, reporting, and coordination. Chinese proficiency is an advantage.
12. Candidates with relevant security, EHS, or data centre-related certifications will have an added advantage.
