Analyse existing AS400-based systems, applications, and processes to understand business logic, data flow, and technical components.
Perform reverse engineering to extract system behaviour, data structures, and functional specifications.
Prepare detailed technical documentation, including file mapping, data dictionaries, process flows, and system interaction diagrams.
Collaborate with business teams, solution architects, and vendor teams to ensure accurate translation of AS400 functionalities into the new COTS platform.
Identify gaps, dependencies, and potential migration challenges within the current AS400 environment.
Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and contribute to planning and migration readiness activities.
Provide insights on current-state architecture and recommend improvements where applicable.
