Technical Buyer - Global Support

Your Role In Our Team

As Technical Buyer in a global support role, you will:

• Facilitate Asian component sourcing in accordance with Körber Group category-sourcing frameworks and business requirements.
• Lead sourcing activities from supplier identification and RFQ preparation through supplier evaluation, quotation comparison and sourcing recommendation.
• Work closely with the Lead Buyer to align procurement requirements and implement agreed category strategies.
• Assess supplier capability, capacity, quality, delivery performance, technical compliance and supply-chain risk.
• Monitor supplier performance and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support order confirmation verification, quality-issue resolution and contingency planning for capacity or delivery constraints.
• Work with relevant internal Buyers to ensure approved pricing and commercial terms are correctly implemented in SAP purchase orders.
• Support master data governance by maintaining and validating relevant material, supplier and purchasing data, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of associated SAP records.
• Prepare data-driven reports on sourcing progress, savings opportunities, supplier performance, quality issues and supply risks.
• Operate within delegated purchasing authority and comply with Körber Group policies, applicable procedures and ISO-related requirements.
  
  

Your Profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or related supply chain functions, preferably within a manufacturing or project-based environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical/electrical components, material standards, and engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to present data-driven insights and proposals.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across different levels and functions.
