Your main role are:
- Accurately quantify the total m2 of materials required and its associated accessories items for projects.
- Liaise with clients and teammates regarding value engineering opportunities and facade layout optimisation of live projects and projects in the tender stage.
What you'll do
Estimator, drafter and technical Scope
- Using AutoCAD and proprietary company software, review clients design drawings and provide accurate estimations.
- Produce elevation and detailed sectional drawings of a project when necessary.
- Ensuring all documentation received from a client is comprehensive enough to provide an accurate estimation.
- Provide accurate lump sum estimations.
- Advise on possible quantity implications / variations if design changes.
- Assist in the assessment of any possible improvement areas from the commercial aspect of the business.
- Liaise with sales organizations to improve the content of information and the process of handover to the client.
- Provide technical assistance to the sales, technical and marketing organization.
- Provide technical assistance to all our clients/partners.
- Provide assistance with internal technical projects where required.
- Assist with updating/producing technical documents where required.
What you'll bring
About you
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in construction / civil / mechanical / engineering / architecture with a minimum 1 year working experience as drafter/estimator in the building sector.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as this is an entry level position.
- Diploma holder with many years of working experience can also be considered.
- Experience in facade construction and working/studying in an international organisation setup is an asset.
- Able to understand and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Practical, administratively very accurate and have good organizational skills.
- Have a strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel-Words-Power Point) and Autodesk AutoCAD. Knowledge of other architectural software e.g. ArchiCAD and Revit is an advantage.
- Good command of English language is a prerequisite. The candidate must have skills in both written and spoken. Other language skills in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and/or European languages are added advantage.
- Excellent capacity to plan and organize his/her job, projects and strategies.
- Able to work under minimal supervision, independently or as part of a team and easy interaction with internal and external teammates and business associates.
- Possess a positive attitude and good communication skills dealing with all relevant parties.
- Willing to take additional responsibilities and to take the lead where required.
- Must be willing to undertake travel internationally when required.
