Summary
The Integration Lead is responsible for leading and delivering complex system integrations across API-driven and core banking platforms, ensuring alignment with business, regulatory, and operational requirements. This role provides hands-on technical analysis, integration design validation, and delivery oversight within a matrix project environment. The position acts as the central integration authority across business, IT, core banking teams, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern end-to-end integration approaches across APIs, batch processes, and core banking systems.
- Review, validate, and contribute hands-on to integration requirements, designs, and end-to-end flows.
- Act as the primary integration point across business units, IT teams, core banking teams, and vendors.
- Ensure integrations comply with regulatory, security, data privacy, and audit requirements.
- Support SIT, UAT, and production readiness through integration reviews, issue triage, and testing validation.
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve integration risks to minimise cost, rework, and customer impact.
Key Skills Required
- Extensive hands-on experience delivering API-driven, batch, SFTP, and flat-file integrations within core banking environments.
- Strong functional knowledge of core banking operations, including customer data management, account lifecycle, and transaction processing.
- Proven ability to critically review, validate, and challenge detailed functional and technical design documents.
- Solid understanding of non-functional integration requirements such as performance, resilience, security, and auditability.
- Practical experience working with leading core banking platforms including Silverlake, Temenos, Finacle, T24, or equivalent systems.
- Demonstrated capability to provide functional leadership in matrix and vendor-led delivery models, supported by strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
