Role Overview
Lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-quality technology solutions for the client's Wealth team. Provide strategic technical leadership, oversee multiple engineering squads, and collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Delivery teams to drive innovation and business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Strategy & Solutioning: Define technology strategy, lead end-to-end solution architecture, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Engineering Delivery: Oversee multiple squads, drive high-quality delivery, and act as senior escalation point for technical challenges.
- Process & Excellence: Establish engineering standards, improve delivery efficiency, promote reusability, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Risk & Governance: Manage technical risks, ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards, and align solutions with enterprise architecture.
- Team Leadership: Mentor engineers, influence technical adoption, and drive collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Relevant certifications (AWS, PMP, Scrum) are advantageous
- Strong backend engineering experience and enterprise-scale solution delivery
- Solid background in Java development
- Expertise in APIs, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience leading complex technical programs in Agile/SAFe environments
- Solid understanding of SDLC, architecture principles, DevOps, CI/CD
- Problem-solving skills to balance immediate delivery with long-term architecture
- Domain knowledge in Wealth Management or Equities is a mandatory requirement
