This role is established as a critical succession plan to ensure business continuity within the Siemens Energy Electrification, Automation, and Digitalization (EAD) Projects & Service team for the Asia Pacific region. The position is essential for maintaining technical project delivery excellence. To fulfill this objective, the Technical Manager for Industrial Electrification and Power Systems will focus on three core areas: comprehensive technical project and program management, governance of electrification solutions such as Substation, E-house, BESS, etc. and quality assurance, and proactive stakeholder engagement combined with team mentorship. This structure ensures that projects are not only managed efficiently but are also technically sound and aligned with strategic goals. Given the focus on leading complex electrification projects with focus on Oil & Gas and Energy Sector, the ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge and experience in technical project management, specifically within industrial electrification and power systems. A proven ability to manage projects independently, handle complex challenges, and mentor junior professionals is required, supported by a relevant engineering background.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • 50% Technical Project & Program Management
    • Plan, scope, and schedule complex electrification projects from initiation to closure, managing budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.
    • Execute project plans using critical path methodologies, monitoring progress against key milestones and managing inter-project dependencies.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, generate consolidated status reports, and track financial performance for leadership review.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing formal change control processes to manage scope variations.
  • 30% Electrification Solution Governance & Quality Assurance
    • . Provide technical expertise on industrial electrification system design and implementation, ensuring solutions align with client requirements and industry best practices
    • Develop, refine, and enforce technical project management templates and methodologies tailored for electrification projects.
    • Conduct rigorous quality assurance reviews on technical deliverables to ensure they meet specified scope, quality, and performance criteria.
    • Serve as a technical authority during project lifecycle, advising on scope changes and resolving complex technical challenges.
  • 20% Stakeholder Engagement & Team Mentorship
    • Act as the primary technical liaison for all project stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating project status, risks, and outcomes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, service, and procurement, to ensure cohesive and efficient project delivery.
    • Coach, mentor, and review the work of junior-level professionals and project engineers, fostering technical and project management skill development within the team.

  • PMP Professional
  • Certified Professional for Power System Software Tools
  • Essential EHS Standards & Certifications

Education

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in technical project management, with a strong focus on industrial electrification or related automation and digitalization projects in Oil & Gas and Energy Sector
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects/processes independently with limited supervision and coaching lower-level professionals.
