Technical Project Manager / Engineer (NPI Product Development)

Your Job

You will serve as the Project Engineer for the PSBU High Power group at Molex Malaysiau2013Penang, overseeing multiple projects across the full lifecycle from feasibility through New Product Introduction (NPI). Your primary purpose is to drive projects to completion on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards by combining technical knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and detailed project execution.

Our Team

This role is part of a dynamic group of highly skilled professionals focused on continuous learning and innovation within the High-Power product category. You will lead projects from idea through high-volume production and work closely with a global cross-functional team of design engineers, product managers, quality engineers, plant and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.

What You Will Do

u2022tResponsible for the successful completion of several projects.

u2022tMonitor the overall project schedule, define the critical path, and hold team members accountable for meeting agreed-upon deadlines.

u2022tAct as a subject-matter expert on the Product Development Process (PDP).

u2022tChallenge the status quo to improve the teamu2019s standard practices and procedures.

u2022tDevelop and manage project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

u2022tCoordinate and lead project team meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

u2022tMonitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.

u2022tCommunicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including preparing and presenting project reports.

u2022tEnsure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.

u2022tFacilitate project change management processes, including managing scope changes and ensuring stakeholder alignment.

u2022tProvide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

u2022tLead and mentor team members in project management principles and Product Development Process (PDP) practices.

u2022tAct as the primary interface between project management and plant teams.

u2022tCollaborate with Global Product Managers and Engineering teams to design and qualify products.

u2022tWork with manufacturing teams to qualify tools and deliver the required parts/solutions.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

u2022tBacheloru2019s degree in mechanical engineering or engineering equivalent.

u2022tExperience leading projects or equivalent engineering experience.

u2022tProficiency in project management software and tools (MS Project preferred).

u2022tAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

u2022xa0Flexibility to work across time zone (USA & Asia Time zone)xa0availability to participate in off-hours calls as needed to accommodate global teams.

u2022tStrong interpersonal and communication skills proven problem-solving and decision-making capability
