Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Present, promote, and sell company products and solutions using application engineering and technical sales expertise to both existing and prospective customers.
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis and needs assessment to understand customer requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain long-term customer relationships, ensuring strong engagement and repeat business.
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through customer mapping, market coverage, and lead generation.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement, technical discussion, proposal preparation, order confirmation, delivery coordination, through to payment collection.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (engineering, operations, service, and finance) to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Expedite resolution of customer issues and complaints to maintain high service standards.
  • Monitor and analyse territory and market potential, prepare sales forecasts, and maintain accurate sales and activity reports.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and business objectives within set timelines.
  • (For senior/managerial level) Lead and manage a small sales team, providing guidance, performance monitoring, and support to drive overall sales growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Relevant working experience in industrial products / pumps / rotating equipment / process industries:
  • Sales Engineer: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Sales Assistant Manager: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with people management exposure preferred.
  • Strong technical sales mindset with the ability to translate engineering concepts into customer-oriented solutions.
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess own transport and be willing to travel extensively.
  • Technical and on-the-job training will be provided.
