Technical Sales Engineer Energy Efficiency & Advanced Insulation Solutions

At KLAY EnerSol, we believe engineering should do more than build it should solve, save, and sustain. Since 2010, we've been helping heavy industries across Asia reduce energy waste, improve process reliability, and cut carbon emissions through advanced insulation and heat-management technologies.

As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our technical sales team to support increasing project demand and new customer engagements.

We're now looking for aTechnical Sales Engineer, a driven, technically sharp individual who can bridge engineering insight with commercial impact. This is not a desk-based sales job; it's a role for someone who enjoys walking through refineries, talking to engineers, and uncovering opportunities where better insulation, smarter materials, and sharper engineering can make a measurable difference.

What You'll Do

  • Build and grow relationships with industrial clients across oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, and power sectors.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for KLAY's range of insulation, heat-shielding, and energy-efficiency solutions in both existing andnew regional markets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and tenders.
  • Work closely with KLAY's engineering and operations teams to translate customer challenges into practical, well-engineered solutions.
  • Conduct site visits, thermal surveys, and solution demonstrations to help clients clearly visualize technical and commercial value.
  • Manage all sales documentation, including tenders, quotations, and contract negotiations with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to revenue growth throughexpansion-driven, solution-based selling.
  • Represent KLAY at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events, acting as a visible ambassador for our mission to make industry more sustainable.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Marine, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum3 years experiencein technical sales, business development, or project delivery within oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Strong technical foundation, ideally with exposure to insulation systems, high-temperature materials, or process equipment applications (e.g. vessels, heat exchangers, turbines).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-relationship skills.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear commercial value propositions.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia and across Southeast Asia to customer sites, fabrication yards, and industrial plants.
  • Valid driving license and passport.
