Job Description

We are seeking a driven and proactive Technical Sales Executive to grow our business in analytical instruments and laboratory automation solutions. This role will be responsible for developing the gas generator business, dealing with principals, and driving sales of automation solutions including within the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate is commercially minded, technically curious, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with internal teams and external principals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow gas generator sales in Malaysia via direct selling or collaboration with internal sales teams.
  • Promote and sell laboratory automation solutions aligned with customer workflows and applications
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in analytical laboratories, research institutions, and relevant industries.
  • Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, product presentation, quotation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical discussions, and solution presentations to customers.
  • Coordinate product training, pricing updates, marketing initiatives, and business planning with principals.
  • Provide market feedback, competitor intelligence, and customer insights to principals and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and pipeline updates.
  • Participate in sales meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemistry or Science / Instrumental Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or Science or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Possess 2–3 years of sales experience in selling equipment, instruments, or solutions for scientific/analytical/laboratory or automation related industries.
  • Experience in business development or solution-based selling is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; confident interacting with customers at different levels
  • Outspoken, proactive, and self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
  • Good commercial acumen with negotiation and closing skills.
  • Technically curious and willing to continuously learn new products and applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Results-driven, resilient, and able to thrive in a target-oriented environment.
  • Professional, ethical, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Team player who collaborates effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
