HAS International Sdn. Bhd. (HAS) is a homegrown offshore helicopter services provider supporting the Malaysian oil and gas industry. Established in 2012 as Hevilift (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., the company began operations from its base in Labuan, serving its first contract with Murphy Oil/PTTEP. Over the years, HAS has grown its capabilities and fleet to meet the demanding requirements of offshore personnel transport. Since April 2023, HAS manages one of the largest offshore helicopter transport contracts in Sarawak, offering stable, long-term opportunities for aviation and technical professionals.
Role Description:
The Technical Service Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Miri, responsible for supporting the continuing airworthiness and technical management of HAS International's helicopter fleet. The role includes coordinating aircraft modifications, repairs and STCs; preparing monthly reliability reports; and developing and maintaining the Aircraft Maintenance Programme, MEL, Mass & Balance Programme and related worksheets.
The Technical Service Engineer will also support technical investigations, recommend corrective and improvement actions, review technical and Mass & Balance reports, and prepare Used Aircraft Reports for Certificate of Airworthiness applications. The role involves working closely with maintenance, continuing airworthiness and external parties, as well as carrying out other duties assigned by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.
Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Engineering or equivalent, with at least three (3) years of experience in continuing airworthiness; or an equivalent combination of relevant qualifications and additional experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and able to ensure accuracy in technical work and documentation.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Willing to relocate to Miri.
- Preference will be given to Sarawakian candidates.
