Role- Resident Engineer-Workspace
Responsibility & Accountability
The Resident Engineer shall be responsible and accountable for, but not limited to, the following:
- Provide onsite and remote Level 3 technical support for Omnissa Workspace ONE during day-to-day operations and project implementation activities (if any).
- Manage and support Workspace ONE components including UEM, Access, and related integrations within TNB's environment.
- Perform proactive system monitoring, periodic health checks, and preventive maintenance to ensure system stability.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve incidents related to device enrollment, application deployment, access authentication, and compliance policies.
- Coordinate with Omnissa principal or authorized support to expedite resolution of complex or critical issues.
- Support planned and unplanned works including upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and emergency recovery activities.
- Maintain operational documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and technical runbooks.
- Maintain a log book containing records of daily activities, inspections, meetings, incidents, and changes, to be endorsed monthly by the appointed TNB Manager.
- Provide continuous knowledge transfer, mentoring, and technical guidance to TNB technical teams
Functional/Technical Competency
- Strong hands-on expertise in Workspace ONE UEM administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
- Knowledge of identity and access integration such as Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, and SSO.
- Understanding of certificate-based authentication, device compliance, and security policy enforcement.
- Familiarity with networking concepts related to VPN, proxy, and endpoint connectivity.
- Experience with Workspace ONE upgrade, patching, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term corrective actions.
