An MNC automotive manufacturing company is looking for a Technical Trainer
Role Overview
This client is seeking a hands‑on Technical Trainer (APAC) to professionally represent the brand by delivering technical and product training to customers, workshops, and sales partners across the APAC region.
This role is highly practical and field‑based, requiring deep technical knowledge, strong presentation skills, Mandarin proficiency, and frequent travel across APAC. The ideal candidate enjoys being on the ground-training, troubleshooting, engaging customers, and supporting commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and conduct in‑person and virtual technical/product training for customers, distributors, and workshops across APAC
- Deliver hands‑on training and provide practical technical support during customer visits, dealer events, and trade fairs
- Actively engage and coach participants to ensure real‑world application of product knowledge
- Create, adapt, and continuously improve technical training materials, presentations, and documentation
- Localise global training programs to suit regional market conditions, cultural nuances, and regulatory requirements
- Drive the didactic development of training content to ensure effectiveness and clarity
- Maintain close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Technical teams as a key technical interface
- Collect market feedback and conduct product and application analysis relevant to APAC markets
- Contribute insights and recommendations to improve products, training, and customer solutions
- Produce technical videos and training content in local language (e.g. YouTube)
- Act as on‑screen trainer and content creator for social media platforms (e.g. Instagram shorts)
- Represent the brand at customer events, trade fairs, and industry exhibitions
- Build long‑term customer relationships, including post‑event engagement and networking
Key Requirements
- Strong hands‑on technical background (automotive / mechanical / parts / workshop‑related experience preferred)
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) - mandatory
- Comfortable delivering technical training to workshop technicians, distributors, and sales teams
- Willing and able to travel heavily across APAC
- Confident presenter with strong interpersonal and customer‑facing skills
- Experience creating or adapting training materials and technical documentation
- Comfortable appearing on camera and engaging audiences digitally
