Job Summary
The Senior Technician supports the maintenance and operational readiness of all FrontofLine (FOL) equipment. This role performs advanced preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment recovery, parts management, and continuous improvement activities to ensure high equipment uptime and stable manufacturing performance. The Senior Technician also mentors junior technicians and plays an active role in maintaining a safe, organized, and worldclass manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform and lead scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities for FOL equipment to ensure reliability and compliance with maintenance standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues, perform rootcause analysis, and restore equipment functionality with minimal downtime.
- Conduct equipment conversion and device changeover activities according to production requirements.
- Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Execute improvement projects to enhance equipment performance, reduce downtime, and increase productivity.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement technical upgrades, equipment modifications, and process improvements.
- Quality & Compliance
- Perform technical investigations related to MRB, stopstart, outofcontrol action plan (OCAP), and other quality-related cases.
- Prepare and present clear summary reports with findings, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Ensure proper maintenance and verification of ESD devices, grounding systems, and equipment safety controls.
- Technical Support & Mentorship
- Provide daytoday technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, supporting skill development and knowledge transfer.
- Support training programs, documentation updates, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Workplace Organization & 5S
- Maintain excellent 5S practices within equipment areas and PM rooms, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and readiness for audits.
- Support continuous audit readiness and housekeeping improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma in Engineering (Preferable mechatronics)
3 years experience in semiconductor industry
Relevant experience in Semiconductor Assy. manufacturing environment
