Job Description

The next big thing in data is you!As a Lead Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will play a key technical leadership role in sustaining sputter equipment reliability and performance. You will lead equipment troubleshooting activities, support engineering improvement initiatives, and provide technical guidance to technicians to ensure high equipment uptime and manufacturing stability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead equipment sustaining activities to ensure high equipment uptime and operational stability.
  • Support engineers in monitoring and improving equipment performance metrics such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and downtime reduction.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring equipment issues.
  • Providetechnical leadership and mentoringto junior technicians.
  • Coordinate technician support during machine conversions, upgrades, and engineering projects.
  • Perform advanced maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and control systems.
  • Review equipment failure trends and provide recommendations for reliability improvement.
  • Participate in spare parts planning, critical spare management, and maintenance optimization.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, cleanroom procedures, and operational standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to maintain stable manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Diploma or Advanced/Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 6–10 years of experience in equipment maintenance in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong experience in sputtering equipment, vacuum systems, or semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of equipment reliability and maintenance practices.
  • Experience guiding or mentoring junior technicians.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in a sputter media or semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of high-vacuum technology, plasma processes, or thin-film deposition systems.

SKILLS:

  • Advanced troubleshooting capability for mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment reliability and performance improvement methods.
  • Ability to lead technical problem-solving activities.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills in supporting technician teams.
  • Good analytical skills for equipment performance and downtime analysis.
  • Effective communication with engineers, supervisors, and production teams.
