JOB SUMMARY
To perform transmission mains leak detection programme. Responsible to carry-out transmission mains network investigation and leak detection including setting up points for sensors (pressure transient & acoustic) deployment and assign leak repair works.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Active Leakage Detection:
- Perform works on coordination & supervision of Superior.
- Desk study and analyze area of interest for leak detection programme.
- Pipe tracing and carry-out network investigation.
- Setting up points for sensors deployment.
- Carry leak detection activity using highly advanced equipment.
- Pinpointing and confirming leak location for repair works.
- Arrange leak for repair works.
- Verifies contractor work.
- Maintain database record and able to perform analytics diagnose of leak noise.
- Maintain good safety record (Employee, Vehicle and Equipment).
- Maintain good discipline act as accordance to company regulations.
- Other duties as needed or required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering or Equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in water industry
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of Windows Office
- ArcGIS Mapping, Google Earth/Map
- Acoustic Leak Detection Equipment
- Ability to liaise successfully with all levels
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff
- Ability to improvise to overcome obstacles
- Good analytical skill
