Technology Counsel, Financial Services MNC (Singapore or Malaysia based)

We are seeking an experienced Technology Contracts Legal Counsel for a contract position supporting a leading global financial institution.

This role is expected to start midlate January and is an initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension. The position is based in Singapore or Malaysia.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a large-scale, high-impact regulatory project involving complex group-wide contracts and third-party risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the bank's DORA contract remediation programme, including review and remediation of complex group contracts and MSAs
• Tailor firm-wide catch-all templates to suit individual commercial, operational and regulatory circumstances
• Provide legal support on technology and third-party agreements in a regulated financial services environment
• Advise on regulatory compliance and third-party risk management issues
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure documentation aligns with regulatory expectations and internal governance standards

Requirements

• 35+ PQE, common law qualified
• Established technology / commercial contracts lawyer
• Experience supporting financial institutions on third-party risk and regulatory compliance
• Prior involvement in regulatory repapering programmes (e.g. MAS, EBA, GDPR)
• Familiarity with DORA is advantageous, but not essential, for candidates with strong technology contracting experience
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume contract work effectively
