Job Description

1. Role Overview

The Telemarketing Specialist is responsible for generating high-quality leads, engaging prospective customers, and driving conversions for Senang.io's insurance and financial products. This role requires strong communication skills, confidence in speaking with customers, and the ability to understand client needs and guide them through our product offerings.

You will be working closely with the Business Development and Customer Support teams to ensure prospects are nurtured, followed up efficiently, and converted into active customers.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Telemarketing & Lead Management
  • Make outbound calls to leads generated from campaigns, partners, and internal databases.
  • Present product information clearly and effectively, focusing on insurance and financial solutions.
  • Understand customer needs and match them with suitable products.
  • Achieve monthly targets for call volume, conversions, and successful follow-ups.
  • Maintain high-quality engagement with potential customers through calls, WhatsApp, SMS, and email.
B. Sales Support
  • Schedule appointments, follow-up calls, and callbacks for interested customers.
  • Assist the sales team in closing deals by qualifying leads effectively.
  • Update CRM/portal systems with accurate lead status and remarks.
C. Customer Experience
  • Ensure that customers understand the product details, payment process, and documentation.
  • Handle basic inquiries and escalate complex issues to relevant teams.
  • Provide excellent customer service to uphold Senang.io's brand reputation.
D. Reporting & Compliance
  • Track daily performance: number of calls, conversions, pending follow-ups.
  • Prepare weekly or monthly reports as required.
  • Follow internal SOPs, compliance requirements, and PDPA policies.
  • Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Daily outbound call target: 80120 calls/day
  • Lead conversion rate: (to be defined by Senang.io, e.g., 510%)
  • Follow-up completion: 100% within SLA
  • Accuracy of CRM updates: 100%
  • Customer satisfaction score (if applicable)
4. Required Skills & QualificationsEssential
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in telemarketing, inside sales, or call centre roles.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to handle objections professionally.
  • Basic understanding of insurance, finance, or willingness to learn.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Preferred
  • Experience in insurance, takaful, fintech, or banking industry.
  • Familiar with CRM systems, Excel, and digital communication tools.
  • Multilingual ability (Tamil/Chinese) is an added advantage.
