Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and the expected margin level for the Company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations with the best product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations, ensuring timely, detailed proposals that include full and accurate costs.

This role is contributing to the Motion IEC LV Motor Business based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Calculating a budget value for the sales team or customer to evaluate customer willingness to invest using appropriate level of details.
  • Managing the preparation of all technical and commercial documentation (e.g. defining the most suitable technology and product type(s)), financial (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis), indicating prices and trading conditions.
  • Collaborates with sales teams and engages with customers when required.
  • Ensuring that, in accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, inputs for editing activities are provided on time and follow established quality procedures.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferably 1-3 years working experience in Induction Motor businesses.
  • Must be self-starter and pro-active. Be able to work independently as well as in team having capability to carry out task with minimal supervision. Independent, result oriented, self-driven, resourceful, organized are desirable attributes.
  • Pleasant personality with good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages will be a plus).
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for consideration subject to internship experience and overall knowledge.
