Role Description
We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in defining, implementing, and executing test automation strategies. This role will lead continuous improvements across testing processes while mentoring and supporting the growth of team members. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys fostering a culture of quality, scalability, and technical excellence throughout the organization.
This position will begin as a contract role, with the intention to convert to a permanent position upon successful completion of the contract period and satisfactory performance.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for both new and existing features
- Plan and implement strategies to improve test coverage and expand automation scope
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Drive efficiency by automating manual testing processes
- Identify, report, and collaborate with development teams to resolve bugs
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and conduct code reviews for team members
- Research, evaluate, and introduce new test automation tools and technologies
- Define roadmaps and manage progress to achieve project quality goals
- Perform any technical related tasks assigned by manager
Required Qualifications:
- ISTQB Foundation Level (FL)
- 5+ years of software testing experience, including 3+ years of hands-on test automation
- Development experience using programming languages such as Java, Python, or TypeScript
- Expertise and practical experience with major test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright)
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI)
- Knowledge and experience with TDD/BDD frameworks
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and GraphQL (e.g., using Postman, SoapUI)
- Basic database knowledge (SQL, NoSQL, etc.)
- Solid problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB AL Level Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE)
- Experience working in startup environments
- Knowledge of ISO 25000 / 29119
- Knowledge of test automation (web, mobile, API)
- Knowledge of software development
- Knowledge of web system architecture, networks, and infrastructure
- Knowledge of QA process improvement (TPI Next, Agile TPI)
- Knowledge of QA training or seminar facilitation
