Job Description
The Nokia NI Supply Chain Fixed Networks Test Engineering team is a worldwide team responsible for designing and maintaining manufacturing test solutions for the full Fixed Networks portfolio, both for Home equipment as Central Office equipment.
Currently, Nokia is expanding its hardware design capabilities in Kuala Lumpur, and to support the related hardware testing for volume testing, we are looking for Test Equipment Logistics & Calibration Coordinator.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
The Test Equipment Logistics & Calibration Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end management of all test and measurement hardware used across Nokia's worldwide manufacturing network. This role selects the most suitable test equipment, oversees procurement and shipping logistics, and ensures that all tools remain calibrated, maintained, and ready for production use. The coordinator works closely with test engineers, supply-chain teams, and site operations to guarantee that test assets are available, compliant, and performing to specification at every manufacturing location.
- Evaluate and recommend test and measurement tools based on functional requirements, cost, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems.
- Maintain a master catalogue of approved equipment, including technical specifications, vendor information, and lifecycle status.
- Create purchase requisitions, obtain quotes, and manage purchase orders for test equipment.
- Coordinate international shipping, customs clearance, and import/export documentation.
- Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and ensure on-time arrival at designated manufacturing sites.
- Manage capacity extensions, spare-part stock levels and replacement cycles.
- Liaise with accredited calibration labs or in-house metrology teams.
- Document calibration results, generate certificates, and update equipment status in the system.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- Familiarity with a broad range of test and measurement instruments used in telecommunication.
- Experience with international procurement, customs regulations, and freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in ERP or MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.) for purchase order and inventory management.
- Understanding of calibration principles, traceability, and metrology standards.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and track multiple equipment orders simultaneously.
- Capability to analyse utilization data, cost-benefit metrics, and equipment performance trends.
- Proactive approach to identifying equipment shortages, calibration delays, or shipping issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Fluency in English (additional languages a plus for regional sites).
