The TCOE Test Manager is responsible for leading and governing System Integration Testing (SIT) across complex, multi-system environments. This role ensures end-to-end test planning, execution, defect management, and stakeholder coordination to deliver high-quality integrated solutions in line with enterprise testing standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Management & Planning
- Define the SIT test strategy, scope, approach, timelines, and resourcing model
- Prepare, maintain, and govern SIT test plans, including entry/exit criteria and detailed schedules
- Manage all SIT phases: planning, execution, defect management, reporting, and sign-off
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across integrated systems, interfaces, and end-to-end business workflows
- Align SIT activities with overall program delivery milestones
2. Test Execution & Coordination
- Lead and coordinate SIT execution across multiple internal teams and external vendors
- Validate integrated functionality across upstream and downstream systems
- Oversee test case design, review, and execution for system integrations
- Manage test data requirements and ensure environment readiness
- Ensure adherence to enterprise testing standards, processes, and TCOE guidelines
3. Defect & Risk Management
- Oversee defect triage, prioritization, tracking, and resolution
- Drive closure of SIT defects across multiple systems and teams
- Proactively identify testing risks, dependencies, and integration issues
- Develop mitigation plans and escalate critical risks/issues as required
- Ensure defect metrics and trends are monitored and communicated
4. Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Act as the primary point of contact for SIT status, governance, and decision-making
- Provide daily and weekly SIT status reports, dashboards, and test metrics
- Collaborate closely with development, business, UAT, release, and environment teams
- Support SIT sign-off and ensure smooth handover to UAT or subsequent testing phases
- Participate in program-level governance and testing forums
Required Skills & Experience
- Over 7 years of experience in software testing, with strong focus on System Integration Testing
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-vendor integration programs
- Strong knowledge of test management methodologies, defect lifecycle, and SDLC/STLC
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps)
- Excellent coordination, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a TCOE (Testing Center of Excellence) model
- Exposure to Agile, SAFe, and/or Hybrid delivery models
- Domain experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Enterprise Platforms (if applicable)
- ISTQB or equivalent test management certification
