Position Overview
The Testing Manager will lead and coordinate testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality delivery of functional, automation, and performance testing. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to manage teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and track testing activities for 24 projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain test strategy, test plans, execution schedules, and task assignments.
- Oversee functional, automation, and performance testing across web, mobile, API, microservices, and cloud/on-prem environments.
- Review testing deliverables to ensure completeness, accuracy, and sufficient coverage.
- Coordinate test environment setup, booking, and availability.
- Manage test data generation, anonymization, and maintenance.
- Lead defect triage meetings, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and present test completion reports for signoff.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to design, develop, and execute automated tests.
- Work with performance test personnel to plan, coordinate, and analyze performance testing.
- Conduct retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training on test processes, methodologies, and tools to stakeholders.
- Contribute to non-project/BAU tasks such as tool evaluation, framework research, and process improvement.
- Escalate risks/issues to Test COE Manager and Project Manager promptly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 12 years of software testing experience, preferably in financial institutions.
- At least 5 years in test management roles.
- Strong knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC), Agile Testing Lifecycle, and defect management processes.
- Proven experience managing functional, automation, and performance testing.
- Hands-on experience with at least one tool from each category:
- Test/Defect Management: ALM, Bugzilla, Jira
- Automation: Selenium, UFT, Appium, Tosca, etc.
- Performance: LoadRunner, JMeter, Dynatrace, etc.
- CICD: GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.
- Experience in DevOps pipeline integration is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Agile Testing) are preferred.
