What you can expect

The Electromechanical Equipment Technician is responsible for assembling, configuring, testing, repairing, and documenting mechanical and electronic equipment in accordance with technical drawings, parts lists, manuals, and ROSEN Quality & HSE guidelines. The role ensures that all tools and equipment are fully functional, compliant with job requirements, and ready for field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Assembly & Configuration

  • Prepare and assemble mechanical and electronic equipment according to drawings, parts lists, manuals, and Tool Customizer configurations.
  • Construct electromechanical assemblies using provided assembly documents.
  • Set and calibrate tool parameters to meet operational specifications.

Inspection & Quality Assurance

  • Perform visual checks on all mechanical and electronic modules.
  • Verify equipment completeness and proper functionality to ensure it meets job requirements.
  • Identify and report documentation issues and improvement opportunities in processes and assembly tasks.

Repairs & Rework

  • Repair, rework, and adjust equipment and assemblies following provided instructions.
  • Troubleshoot failures or defects and apply corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Document assembled equipment in ROSEN software databases.
  • Provide required test reports and all supporting documentation related to assembly, testing, and repairs.

Operational Support

  • Support site personnel when required, ensuring smooth field deployment of equipment.
  • Carry out all activities in full compliance with ROSEN Quality and HSE guidelines and instructions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and propose process optimization opportunities to enhance assembly efficiency, reliability, and workflow quality.

What you will bring

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any engineering discipline, with preference given to candidates from Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering backgrounds.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tool and equipment assembly or testing is an advantage; however, fresh graduates with strong interest in handson technical work are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong proficiency in hand tools, power tools, and mechanical tasks.
  • Ability to adapt to frequently changing schedules and work effectively under tight timelines.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, and the ability to interpret and work with schematic diagrams, work orders, technical manuals, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel abroad and to offshore locations as required.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Position is based in Shah Alam.
