Role: Trade-Marketing Executive (Malaysia)
Drive in-store excellence and trade activation to maximize sell-out, visibility, and brand performance across retail channels.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Marketing Execution
- Plan and execute in-store promotions, campaigns, and activations (Watsons, BCG, Guardian etc)
- Ensure high-quality implementation of POSM (shelf talkers, displays, gondola ends)
- Adapt global brand strategy to local retail requirements
Trade Events
- Plan and execute events with key retail partners (Expo, Concourse, Atrium)
Channel & Sales Support
- Work closely with Sales Director to drive sell-out performance
- When meeting with key retailer partner to prepare brand presentation for Sales Director
- Analyse sell-in vs sell-out data, identify gaps and opportunities
- Support listing, assortment optimization, and NPDs performance tracking
Retail Channel Management
- Coordinate key retail development with Sales Director
- Ensure compliance with planograms and promotion agreements
- Manage trade calendar and retail campaigns
Marketing Coordination
- Align with marketing team on campaign rollouts (online & offline)
- Localize materials for retail (pricing, messaging, language)
- Support product launches in-store and online
POSM & Budget Management
- Manage production and distribution of POS materials
- Track and control trade marketing budget and ROI
- Optimize cost vs impact of promotions and activations
Reporting & Insights
- Monitor competitor activities and retail execution
- Conduct store checks and field visits
- Prepare quarter reports for Sales Director with actionable insights
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years in FMCG / trade marketing / sales or a similar role.
- Strong strategic thinking & analytical, and execution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Familiarity and understanding of modern trade / retail dynamics
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, Proactive and innovative mindset.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Driving license / Be ready for regular driving
