The impact you'll make
The Trade Operations Analyst is responsible for executing day-to-day import/export activities, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Customs regulations, and supporting trade-related data analytics and reporting.
What You'll Do
- Support daily import operations by ensuring accurate HS Code classification in alignment with LMW A1 and A2 exemption approvals to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
- Monitor, track, and report any issues related to customs compliance or clearance activities, and promptly escalate to the superior when necessary.
- Prepare and submit monthly Customs reports (M1 and M2) with full accuracy and on-time delivery to relevant authorities or assigned customs officers.
- Prepare and submit yearly Customs Report (M4) for LMM 1.1 Kulim, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and timely submission.
- Process and verify Return-to-Vendor (RTV) documentation from the warehouse team, ensuring data accuracy and compliance before applying for Customs approvals (GPB AM and GPB 1).
- Apply for daily customs approvals and coordinate closely with customs officers to expedite any urgent requests and avoid shipment delays.
- Ensure any Finished Goods (FG) direct export shipment movement receive prior confirmation from Trade Operations before approval and release.
- Ensure shipment movement control by verifying that all transfers from LMM 1.1 Kulim to LMM Batu Kawan receive prior confirmation from Trade Operations before approval and release.
- Report and update compliance issues related to LMM 1.1 Kulim operations to the superior at the Batu Kawan site.
- Maintain accurate and audit‑ready documentation for all LMM 1.1 movements and approvals, ensuring proper record keeping for internal and customs audits.
- Prepare monthly operational support update review.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade, or related discipline.
- 2–4 years experience in import/export operations or trade compliance.
- Familiarity with Malaysia Customs procedures, LMW framework, and brokerage coordination.
- Proficient in using/understanding DagangNet, and SAP systems.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work cross-functionally.
- Knowledge of Warehouse receiving and shipping process
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or high-volume trade environments.
- Understanding of INCOTERMS and international shipping documentation.
- Exposure to customs audit preparation or internal controls.
- Have experiences on problem solving tools like 5why, PDCA.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
