FatHopes Energy (FHE) is a fast-growing, sustainability-driven company focused on the aggregation and supply of waste-based feedstocks such as Used Cooking Oil (UCO), Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME), and other renewable inputs for biofuels.
We operate at the intersection of commodity trading, logistics, and sustainability, building transparent and traceable supply chains across Southeast Asia.
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Feedstock Trader to originate, negotiate, and execute physical trades of waste-based feedstocks.
This is not a desk-only trading role. You will be expected to build supplier networks from the ground up, verify supply authenticity, negotiate pricing, and ensure consistent volume flow, while upholding the highest standards of integrity and traceability.
Key Responsibilities
1) Sourcing & Origination
- Identify and onboard suppliers of UCO, POME, and other waste-based feedstocks (restaurants, collectors, mills, aggregators)
- Develop and maintain a reliable supply network, both locally and regionally
- Conduct site visits to verify supplier credibility and operations
2) Trading & Negotiation
- Negotiate purchase terms, pricing structures, and contracts with suppliers
- Execute physical trades while optimizing margins
- Monitor market pricing trends and competitor activity
3) Supply Chain Execution
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely collection and delivery
- Troubleshoot supply disruptions and ensure continuity of volume
- Maintain accurate trade records and documentation
4) Quality & Compliance
- Ensure feedstock meets required quality and sustainability standards
- Work closely with internal teams on traceability and certification requirements (e.g. ISCC)
- Identify and prevent fraudulent or non-compliant supply
5) Relationship Management
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships with suppliers and partners
- Represent FatHopes in the market with professionalism and integrity
What We're Looking For
Core Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience in commodity trading, procurement, or supply sourcing
- Experience in UCO, POME, palm oil, waste management, or related industries is highly preferred
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals
- Willingness to travel frequently and work on the ground
