Adecco's client, a leading player in the automotive industry, is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Training Manager to lead product and sales capability development across its Malaysia operations. This role is instrumental in strengthening frontline performance by equipping sales and dealer networks with strong product knowledge, effective selling skills, and consistent brand messaging to support business growth and new model launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual training strategies aligned with business goals, product roadmap, and sales priorities
- Design and deliver comprehensive product and commercial training, including vehicle features, positioning, competitive benchmarking, and value-based selling
- Support new product launches through structured training programs, readiness assessments, and certification frameworks
- Drive capability development across sales teams and dealer networks, ensuring consistent onboarding and continuous learning standards
- Create and maintain training materials, playbooks, and digital learning content to ensure accuracy and consistency in product communication
- Deliver engaging training sessions across multiple platforms (classroom, virtual, and digital learning)
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Planning, and Dealer Operations to ensure alignment and relevance of training initiatives
- Track training effectiveness, participation, and competency levels, providing insights and performance reporting to stakeholders
- Continuously enhance training methodologies by incorporating best practices and innovative learning approaches
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Training & Development, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in training, sales enablement, or commercial capability development
- Strong understanding of sales processes, customer engagement, and product positioning
- Prior experience in automotive or other product-driven industries (e.g. FMCG, consumer electronics) is advantageous
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with sales teams and dealer networks
