Job Summary

The Travel Manager oversees the daily operations of a travel agency, ensuring high-quality travel services for clients. This role involves managing travel consultants, designing travel packages, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving business and revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise travel consultants and agency staff
  • Plan, design, and sell customized travel packages for individuals and groups
  • Coordinate bookings for flights, hotels, tours, transportation, and travel insurance
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with travel regulations, visa requirements, and documentation
  • Monitor sales performance, revenue targets, and operational costs
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and emergency travel situations
  • Maintain relationships with travel partners and suppliers
  • Stay updated on travel trends, destinations, and promotional opportunities
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and client satisfaction
  • Managing marketing and promotions to increase customer based and revenue
  • Achieving monthly and yearly sales target and revenue

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Travel Management, Business, or related field
  • Proven experience in a travel agency or tourism-related role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, sales, and customer service abilities
  • Knowledge of booking systems (GDS such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo)
  • Ability to plan itineraries and manage multiple bookings efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Travel and Tourism Management
  • Experience handling foreign workers, group tours, corporate travel, or luxury travel
  • Knowledge of international destinations and travel regulations

Working Conditions

  • Office-based with possible travel for familiarization trips and supplier meetings
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends or holidays during peak seasons
