Main Purpose
Reporting to the VP HR, TR, the incumbent will lead the Talent Acquisition strategy and delivery for Travel Retail Asia Pacific (TRA) (positions based in Singapore, Hong Kong and China). The incumbent will work closely with business leaders, hiring managers, HR Centers of Excellence, and external partners to build a high-performing organization through proactive recruitment excellence. This role is expected to operate as both a strategic advisor and a hands-on HR practitioner.
In the capacity of a HR Business Partner (HRBP), the incumbent will work closely with business leaders within a designated function to support their strategic goals and shape a high-performance culture through effective HR advisory. Key areas of responsibility include talent acquisition, learning and development, career development, compensation and benefits, and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy & Leadership across Travel Retail Asia
- Partner with hiring managers and HRBPs to understand talent needs, develop sourcing strategies, and build diverse talent pipelines aligned with business and workforce plans.
- Drive direct sourcing, employer branding, and talent attraction initiatives, positioning TRA as an employer of choice through compelling communication of our values, culture, and mission.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from role briefing and candidate sourcing through assessment, selection, offer negotiation, hiring, and onboarding, ensuring a consistent, compliant, and positive candidate experience.
- Provide market intelligence, talent insights, and competitive benchmarking to inform hiring and workforce decisions.
- Collaborate with HR Operations to optimize recruitment and onboarding processes, leveraging technology and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Talent Acquisition Analytics, Vendor & Budget Management
- Track recruitment effectiveness through defined metrics and dashboards.
- Analyze hiring trends, recruitment performance, time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and hiring costs.
- Prepare regular talent and recruitment reports for HR and business stakeholders.
- Manage recruitment agencies, search partners, and external vendors.
- Review vendor performance and ensure contractual compliance and cost effectiveness.
- Monitor recruitment-related spending and identify optimization opportunities.
HRBP: Strategic Focus
Responsible for developing and executing an integrated HR plan to support the business through HR core activities and operations (e.g. sourcing, performance management, talent development & retention, culture & change leader, etc.) through deep understanding of business strategies, objectives and organization challenges of the partnered function.
- Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution whilst developing and implementing agreed HR strategy for partnered function.
- Drive assigned HR-relevant KPIs to deliver short, medium and long-term people-focused strategies.
Maintain a strong business relationship built on trust, integrity, and respect. Thereby operating as the focal point by owning and leading HR-related processes.
- Actively detect and highlight HR-related gaps and / or risks, proposing and implementing changes necessary to remediate based on root causes identified.
- Employee Engagement: Drive results-to-action process with specified function.
- Provide counsel and close support to Line Managers in administrating Performance Management, Employee Development and Succession Planning processes in line with the Talent Management Framework.
- Facilitate the career progression of employees via continual mapping of key talents and provision of required support towards fully developing them.
HRBP & TA: Technology, Data Management, Compliance & Risk Management:
- Continuously monitor and improve HR systems to meet the evolving needs of the business as well as to ensure policies are compliant with related internal & external regulatory requirements.
- Manage employee relations issues, partnering with legal and other relevant departments to mitigate risk.
- Proactively address workplace conflicts and provide support in resolving employee disputes in a fair and consistent manner.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in Talent Acquisition and HR business partnering. Relevant exposure within FMCG, travel retail, prestige retail & beauty industry is a plus.

- Effective verbal & written communication skills to influence and achieve business results with positive outcomes across the spectrum of stakeholders. Fluent English required and Mandarin proficiency will be advantageous.

- Proficient and digitally savvy with online platforms (LinkedIn, Applicant Tracking Systems, SuccessFactors preferred) and Microsoft applications (especially PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI)
