DevOps Engineer (Code Merge & Source Code Review)

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Experience in banking domain is must

Key Responsibilities

• Manage code merge activities across multiple branches using Git-based tools
• Perform source code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and best practices
• Handle pull requests, branching strategies, and conflict resolution
• Work closely with developers to ensure smooth integration and deployment pipelines
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for faster and reliable releases
• Ensure proper version control and release management
• Identify and fix issues related to build failures or merge conflicts
• Support automation initiatives to improve development workflows

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in DevOps / CI-CD environments
• Hands-on experience with Git (GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket)
• Experience in code merging, pull requests, and code reviews
• Good understanding of branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Basic understanding of scripting (Shell / Python)
• Knowledge of build tools and deployment pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to security best practices in code reviews
• Experience in banking / fintech environments
