Let's Talk About The Role

Location: Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan

Department: Manufacturing, Supply Chain

Reports to: Head of Utilities & ASRS

In this role, you are responsible and accountable for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of all plant utilities, facilities, and building maintenance systems to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This includes oversight of the following utility systems:

  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant 350 m/h
  • Steam Supply 40 t/h
  • Industrial Effluent Treatment Plant (IETP) 3,000 m/day
  • Low Pressure Air 3,400 m/h
  • High Pressure Air 9,000 m/h
  • Chiller Plant 14,000 kW
  • High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) Control Rooms
  • ASRS and all related utility subsystems

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage all utilities operations, including boilers, RO systems, wastewater treatment plant, and electrical systems (Chargeman).
  • Ensure end-to-end management of Utilities and ASRS systems to support smooth plant operations with zero or minimal business interruption.
  • Manage utilities spare parts, including safety stock levels, inventory accuracy, maintenance records, lifecycle planning, and cost control against budget.
  • Support and execute engineering and maintenance activities as assigned by management.
  • Manage and coordinate activities of executives and team members to achieve Centre of Operational Excellence (COE) objectives.
  • Lead and manage implementation and compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS), including KORE, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, PAS 220, and ISO 22000.
  • Monitor and ensure Utilities KPIs (e.g. WUR, EUR) are achieved in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety procedures, food safety standards, hygiene requirements, and 5S practices.
  • Participate actively in troubleshooting activities and escalate critical issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Attend and contribute to shift review meetings and departmental meetings.
  • Provide operational support during manpower shortages, emergencies, or as required by the company.

What You Bring

  • Degree in a technical field with a minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, or
  • Diploma with minimum 10 years extensive technical experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Experience in change management and leading teams through transformation.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and warehousing processes.
  • Business acumen with experience in people management and team leadership.
  • Exposure to project management, particularly in control systems and automation, is an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of control systems, software, and basic programming concepts.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to conduct complex system testing.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and creative problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering; knowledge in areas such as robotics, statistics, fluid dynamics, and databases is an advantage.
  • Ability to work safely at heights.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu.
