Scope of position
The Vendor Management Office (VMO) owns the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, ensuring vendor strategy, performance, cost efficiency, and risk management. The VMO acts as the central point of oversight for all vendor-related activities, providing standardized governance, performance monitoring, and strategic insights across the organization.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Vendor Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Define overall vendor strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain a centralized vendor portfolio to ensure consistent management and visibility.
Supplier Qualification & Management
- Introduce and manage qualified suppliers in the representative office.
- Ensure supplier qualifications meet organizational requirements.
Vendor Sourcing, Evaluation & Selection
- Lead vendor identification, evaluation, and selection (Procurement)
- Improve procurement competitiveness through structured bidding and negotiation.
Baseline Building
- Establish and improve procurement business and cost baselines.
- Provide competitive cost baselines to support strategic decision-making.
Performance & Governance
- Design SLAs, KPIs, and governance models for vendor performance management.
- Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular reviews, including QBRs.
Key Project Assurance
- Ensure supplier resource development for responsible categories/projects.
- Address supplier-related issues promptly to support project delivery.
Supplier Development & Relationship Management
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and communicate with senior supplier management.
- Build healthy supplier partnerships and foster a robust industry chain.
Cost Optimization & Value Realization
- Drive cost efficiency initiatives and value creation from vendor relationships.
- Support renewal decisions and contract negotiations based on performance and value.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Manage third-party risk assessments, compliance tracking, and exit planning.
- Ensure vendors adhere to internal policies, regulatory standards, and contractual obligations.
Standards, Tools & Reporting
- Establish standardized tools, processes, and dashboards for vendor oversight.
- Provide executive reporting as the single source of truth for management decisions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supplychain operations.
- Strong English communication skills (writing and speaking) for reporting,negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience designing governance models, KPIs, and SLA frameworks.
- Proficiency in Excel or vendor management tools
