Job Description

Scope of position

The Vendor Management Office (VMO) owns the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, ensuring vendor strategy, performance, cost efficiency, and risk management. The VMO acts as the central point of oversight for all vendor-related activities, providing standardized governance, performance monitoring, and strategic insights across the organization.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Vendor Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Define overall vendor strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain a centralized vendor portfolio to ensure consistent management and visibility.

Supplier Qualification & Management

  • Introduce and manage qualified suppliers in the representative office.
  • Ensure supplier qualifications meet organizational requirements.

Vendor Sourcing, Evaluation & Selection

  • Lead vendor identification, evaluation, and selection (Procurement)
  • Improve procurement competitiveness through structured bidding and negotiation.

Baseline Building

  • Establish and improve procurement business and cost baselines.
  • Provide competitive cost baselines to support strategic decision-making.

Performance & Governance

  • Design SLAs, KPIs, and governance models for vendor performance management.
  • Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular reviews, including QBRs.

Key Project Assurance

  • Ensure supplier resource development for responsible categories/projects.
  • Address supplier-related issues promptly to support project delivery.

Supplier Development & Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and communicate with senior supplier management.
  • Build healthy supplier partnerships and foster a robust industry chain.

Cost Optimization & Value Realization

  • Drive cost efficiency initiatives and value creation from vendor relationships.
  • Support renewal decisions and contract negotiations based on performance and value.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Manage third-party risk assessments, compliance tracking, and exit planning.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to internal policies, regulatory standards, and contractual obligations.

Standards, Tools & Reporting

  • Establish standardized tools, processes, and dashboards for vendor oversight.
  • Provide executive reporting as the single source of truth for management decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supplychain operations.
  • Strong English communication skills (writing and speaking) for reporting,negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience designing governance models, KPIs, and SLA frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Excel or vendor management tools
