JOB FUNCTION : Veterinary technician

SALARY : RM 7000

JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Gender: Male or Female
• Education: Bachelor's or Equivalent
• Employment status: Parmenent
• Working hours: Normal Hours
• Work experience: 2-5 years and above in related field

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

1. Conduct daily health monitoring and inspection of dairy cattle.

2. Assist the Veterinarian in diagnosis, treatment, vaccination, and disease prevention.

3. Monitor sick, injured, and high-risk animals and ensure proper follow-up.

4. Assist with reproductive management, including heat detection, pregnancy monitoring, calving, and postpartum care.

5. Monitor the health and development of calves and young stock.

Support implementation of farm biosecurity and animal welfare procedures.

6. Assist in the proper handling, storage, and recording of veterinary medicines and treatments.

7. Maintain accurate records for animal health, treatment, vaccination, mortality, and reproduction.

8. Collect samples and assist with laboratory testing and disease investigations.

9. Monitor animals under treatment and ensure compliance with milk withdrawal periods.

10. Provide technical guidance to farm workers on animal handling, hygiene, health monitoring, and disease prevention.

11. Prepare routine veterinary and herd health reports.

Ensure veterinary activities comply with relevant SOPs, animal welfare, food safety, and regulatory requirements.

12. Perform other duties assigned by the Veterinarian or Management.
