Job Purpose
Support Head of Credit Evaluation & Review in evaluating financing proposals in support of Share Margin Financing (SMF) and Portfolio Lending business.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake evaluation of credit proposal critically and objectively including inter alia undertaking in-depth analysis on the repayment capacity of borrower, financials, share price analysis and identifying key risks and mitigating factors.
- Presentation of credit proposals to relevant approving committee (GMCC/GBCRRC/Board).
- Ensure compliance of credit proposal turnaround time (upon receipt of complete information) per approved KPI.
- Work closely with SMF BU, Securities Operations and Business Units at ABB/AIBB in the preparation and submission of credit proposals.
- Ensure compliance of financing activities to internal and external policies/guidelines (Connected Party Checks, Broad Property Sector, Single Counterparty Exposure Limit and other relevant policies/guidelines).
- Support HOD with any ad hoc requests/special projects.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor degree/professional qualification in relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in undertaking credit evaluation.
- Excellent credit and financial analysis skills particularly financial and cash flow analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with different levels of stakeholders and employees.
- Adequate knowledge of financial markets.
