Job Description

About the role

  • Support and maintain BNM systems, applications, and IT infrastructure to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Assist in translating user requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Participate in development, testing, and documentation in line with bank standards.
  • Provide first and second-level support, troubleshoot application issues, and monitor performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers and vendors to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Support disaster recovery activities and post-deployment validation.
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, maintain documentation, and train users on application usage.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when needed.

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding issue status and resolution timelines.
  • Building relationships with business partners and managing resources internally and externally as collaboration strategy for a smooth IT operation.
  • Evaluate documented resolution and analyst trends for ways to prevent future problems.
  • Field incoming help requests from users via both telephone and work orders in a courteous manner.
  • Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems to the appropriately experienced technician.
  • Record, track and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution.
  • Test fixes to ensure the problem has been adequately resolved.
  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests.
  • Ensure applications comply with organizational policies and security standards.
  • Participate in audits and implement necessary controls.

Skills, certifications and experience you possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
  • Possess at least 5 years working experience in banking and minimum 2 years of experience in Bank supporting BNM application systems and IT infrastructure support, including projects and Disaster Recovery.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of SQL, Java, Unix, Jira and current technologies, and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, compliance, and risk management in application services.
  • Expert knowledge about computer applications and scripting knowledge.
  • Familiar with the local regulations (e.g. BNM) and able to manage regulatory requirements from a technology solution/decision perspective.
