Job Description

Our client is a specialist investment firm focused on private capital market secondaries and liquidity solutions across Asia Pacific. The firm manages complex fund structures and investment vehicles across multiple jurisdictions.

Role Overview

The Vice President, Finance Operations will lead the firm's finance and operational functions acrossfund entities andcorporate structures. Thisrole combines fund accounting oversight, financial reporting, treasury management, compliance, and process improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between investment, finance, external service providers, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Fund Finance s Financial Reporting

  • Oversee fund-level accounting, including capital calls, distributions, NAV reporting, and investor reporting.
  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements across fund entities and SPVs.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and fund administrators.
  • Support valuation processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Operations s Treasury Management

  • Oversee cash flow management across funds and corporate entities.
  • Manage credit facilities, capital deployment tracking, and liquidity planning.
  • Coordinate fund operations with external administrators and custodians.
  • Ensure smooth execution of transaction settlements and operational workflows.

Compliance s Governance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements across jurisdictions (e.g., Malaysia, Singapore, etc.).
  • Oversee corporate governance matters including board reporting and statutory filings.
  • Strengthen internal controls and risk management frameworks.

Stakeholder s Service Provider Management

  • Act as primary point of contact for fund administrators, tax advisors, auditors, and legal counsel.
  • Work closely with investment teams to support deal execution and portfolio monitoring.
  • Prepare management reports and present financial insights to senior leadership.

Process Improvement s Leadership

  • Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Establish scalable finance processes to support business growth.
  • Mentor and supervise finance team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Around 10-13 years of experience in fund accounting, private equity, asset management, or investment management.
  • Strong knowledge of fund structures (SPVs, LPs, GP structures).
  • Experience working in Assets management, capital markets or private equity firms
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills.
