Role Description
The Video Editor will work across a mix of independently led projects (as sole editor) and collaborative workflows, partnering closely with Producers and creative collaborators to deliver high-quality edits that meet creative, technical, and brand standards. Projects are primarily non-scripted, spanning branded, corporate, lifestyle, sports, travel, and social-first content.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate is receptive to feedback from multiple stakeholders, adaptable to evolving creative direction, and comfortable working across different deliverable types, genres, and formats.
We are seeking a proactive, well-organized editor with curiosity and a strong desire to develop their craft. You are comfortable taking initiative, voicing creative opinions, and bringing a thoughtful editorial perspective to each project.
Key Responsibilities
Editing & Post-Production
- Deliver end-to-end video edits across multiple genres, from initial assembly through final delivery.
- Perform core post-production tasks including picture editing, basic online audio mixing, and color correction or grading, where required.
- Collaborate with external post-production partners when specialized services are outsourced.
- Assemble footage, audio, graphics, music, and effects into polished edits that meet creative and technical standards.
- Deliver multiple versions, cut-downs, and format variations based on platform and distribution needs.
- Follow established post-production workflows and delivery protocols.
Collaboration & Feedback
- Work across a mix of independently led projects (as sole editor) and collaborative projects.
- Implement feedback and revisions from multiple stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
- Communicate clearly regarding progress, challenges, and delivery timelines.
Project, File & Workflow Management
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while working under tight deadlines.
- Organize files and assets according to Company standards and workflows.
- Coordinate with Producers and Project Managers to meet project timelines.
Creative Support & Development
- Support creative and production teams across development and delivery phases.
- Contribute editorial input and problem-solving support when appropriate.
- Stay current with tools, trends, and techniques that enhance storytelling and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 34 years of professional experience in video editing or post-production.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools is a plus.
- Experience delivering end-to-end edits, including picture editing, basic audio mixing, and color correction or grading.
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, rhythm, and music selection.
- Solid understanding of formats and delivery requirements across digital, social, and broadcast platforms.
- High attention to detail with a consistently strong standard for creative and technical quality.
- Highly organized and able to manage files, assets, and multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Receptive to feedback and revisions, maintaining professionalism and creative momentum.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively with producers, creatives, and external partners.
- Strong writing, presentation, communication, and organizational skills, with curiosity to learn and adapt to new tools and techniques.
Bonus/ Nice To Have
- Camera operation or on-set production experience.
- Motion graphics experience (e.g. After Effects or similar tools).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools or workflows.
- Ability to support small-scale shoots or assist production teams when required.
