Video Production Editor

The Role

We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Video Production Editor to support our Creative & Content team in producing compelling video content for web, social platforms, and online ads. This hybrid role blends hands-on production familiarity with strong video editing skills, ensuring that all video outputs are brand-aligned, engaging, and optimised for multiple formats and platforms. You will work closely with the Video Producer, Art Director, Copywriter, and the wider Marketing Team to execute edits, support shoot planning, and assist with publishing content across Shopify and social channels. Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Post-Production:

• Edit video content for multiple platforms including web, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (short-form and long-form), and supporting Chinese-market channels where applicable.
• Edit and prepare video outputs for online ads, ensuring clarity, strong storytelling, and high performance across ad placements and formats.
• Execute edits that align with the brand's visual identity and storytelling guidelines.
• Apply platform-specific editing approaches (aspect ratios, pacing, hooks, text treatments) to maximise content performance.
• Export videos in correct formats, sizes, and resolutions tailored to each platform's requirements.
• Collaborate with the Video Producer to refine footage, narratives, and visual direction.
  
  

Production Support & Shoot Readiness

• Support planning and preparation for content and campaign shoots, including pre-production tasks.
• Participate in on-set or remote production sessions to assist with logistics, continuity, or content capture as needed.
• Ensure smooth handover between production and post-production workflows.
  
  

Digital Content & Platform Execution

• Manage content uploads and updates on the brand's Shopify platform using the Shopify editor.
• Support the uploading of promotional videos, branded content, and site assets.
• Assist the Creative & Content team in managing video assets and maintaining organised content libraries.
  
  

Creative Collaboration & Content Ideation

• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions for campaigns, social content, and product stories.
• Collaborate with the Art Director, Copywriter, and Content team to bring fresh, creative, and platform-appropriate ideas to life.
• Support the team on various content tasks as needed, ensuring alignment with creative direction and OKRs.

The Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film, Multimedia, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in video editing for digital platforms; familiarity with production environments is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Strong understanding of platform-specific content formats and best practices across web, social, and online advertising.
• Knowledge of video exports, codecs, aspect ratios, and optimised rendering for different platforms and ad placements.
• Basic familiarity with content management on Shopify or willingness to learn quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a creative team and communicate effectively across departments.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and file management.
• Comfortable contributing to both creative and operational tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: Experience with motion graphics (e.g., After Effects) or shooting content is a plus.
