Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- To lead a group of operators to perform incoming JO kitting, coordinate daily shipment packing, and inventory control based on production plan.
- To manage lots based on FIFO and Kanban approach.
- To set up system to manage in process finished good with traceable storage location.
- Highly dedicated and maintained highly disciplined workforce 24/7 production hours.
- Well versed in using Oracle and shopfloor system to coordinate.
- Managing dispatching of work orders to production line according to the build plan and shipment.
- Managing and controlling inventory and storage direct material in the floor at desired level.
- Make sure operators, under his/her care comply with work instructions.
- Control the break time, surau, toilet time, prod In and Out.
- Plan out the required outs per line item needed for shipment based on overall plan.
- Coordinate with other dept LLs to ensure constant supply of materials to fulfill the WIP needed.
- To report in Operation daily meetings to hilite and hands-on activities in the line.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
- Derive Continual Improvement.
- Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of tasks.
- Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes.
- Managing employee attendance, attrition and retention.
- Do the needful to meet or exceed our customers expectations in compliance with the Quality Policy. Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time. Ensuring compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
- Meet the performance metrics (HPU, DPPM, Cycle time, Job Closure, Cross Training, Scrap / Reject and attendance.
Education & Experience
Minimum is Diploma in Engineering / IE / Production Management and related disciplines. Candidate must have experience minimum 5 years working experience in a high-volume high mix production environment managing production with at least 3 years in supervisory position. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.
Skills
- Experience working with Oracle/ ERP/ SAP/ MRP tools.
- Experience working on lean manufacturing and quality improvement projects.
- Computer software knowledge
