Role Description

This is an entry-level contract role for a Web Application Developer at client office in Penang. The role involves day-to-day tasks associated with web application development, back-end web development, and software development. This role is located on-site in Bayan Lepas.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in the design, specification, implementation and maintenance of websites.
• Implements and contributes to the development of site-specific standards, policies and practices.
• Participates with customers in design reviews, technical briefings and needs assessments.
• Works on assignments where slight judgment and initiative is required to resolve problems and make choices, recommendations or decisions.
• Regularly exercises discretion and semi-independent judgment on business matters.

Essential Requirements:

• Around 6 Months to 1 Year experience in Web Application Development, or strong understanding of technical concepts along with Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good knowledge of operating systems, internet/web and other tools and protocols.
• Fair knowledge of website development and support.

Desirable Requirements:

• Minimal understanding of JavaScript and Flash may be helpful
