Job Description

Job Title: Windows Admin

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support SAN infrastructure, including provisioning, RAID configurations, storage virtualization, replication, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer Windows servers (NT, 20002022) and Windows 11 Pro, including Active Directory management.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise virtualization environments using Dell VxRail and VMware ESXi (versions 4.0 to 8).
  • Perform monitoring and alert management using SiteScope.
  • Execute incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet SLAs and ensure a managed services delivery mindset focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Provide documentation, root cause analysis, and resource management for operational efficiency.

Required Technical Knowledge (at least one from each section):

SAN Infrastructure (any one):

  • IBM DS5020/EXP520 (SAN provisioning, storage virtualization, RAID, SAN sync scripting)
  • IBM EXP400 (JBOD, firmware upgrades, SAN provisioning)
  • IBM 2498-B24 SAN Switch (zoning, fabric management, configuration)
  • Dell MD3620f/MD3820F/MD3200i/ME4024 (SAN provisioning, iSCSI/FC setup, replication)
  • Dell PowerVault MD1000 (DAS, RAID management)
  • Lenovo S2200 (hybrid storage, SAN provisioning, iSCSI)
  • StorageTek L700E/L80 Tape Libraries (backup integration, tape drive, robotic arm)
  • HPE MSA500 G2 (RAID, LUN provisioning, SAN provisioning)
  • Fibre Channel Switches (zoning, WWPN management, fabric optimization)

Operating Systems (any one):

  • Windows NT 4.0
  • Windows Server 2000 2022
  • Windows 11 Pro
  • Windows Active Directory

Virtualization (any one):

  • Dell VxRail 4.5
  • VMware ESXi 4.0 8

Monitoring Tool:

  • SiteScope

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

  • IBM Certified System Expert
  • HP Certified IT Professional
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • ITIL Foundation

Soft Skills & Mindset:

  • Fluent in Cantonese (mandatory).
  • Strong independent learning ability.
  • Good analytical and resource management skills.
  • Experience in incident/change management.
  • Service-oriented mindset with focus on customer expectations and SLA fulfillment.
