We are seeking an experienced Windows Engineer with a strong Datacenter infrastructure background to manage, support, and optimize enterprise Windows environments. The role involves administering Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and core datacenter services to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and FSMO roles.
- Support and maintain the datacenter infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.
- Administer virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware).
- Perform server patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) procedures.
- Troubleshoot complex Windows, AD, and infrastructure issues (L2/L3).
- Ensure security hardening, access control, and compliance standards.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
- Provide after-hours or on-call support when required.
Required Skills & Technical Competencies
Windows & Core Services
- Strong experience with Windows Server Administration
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, LDAP
- AD replication, FSMO roles, trust relationships
Datacenter & Virtualization
- Hands-on experience in Datacenter operations
- VMware vSphere / Hyper-V administration
- Physical server management (Dell, HPE, Lenovo)
- Storage systems (SAN/NAS, RAID, MSA, vSAN)
Backup, DR & Security
- Backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Windows Backup)
- DR planning and execution
- Security hardening, patch management, antivirus/EDR
- Automation & Tools
Scripting with PowerShell
- Monitoring tools (SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
- Basic networking knowledge (VLANs, firewalls, load balancers)
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 37 years of experience as a Windows / Datacenter Engineer
- Enterprise or mission-critical environment experience preferred
