Job Summary
Ensure the stability and resilience of the organizations IT environment by managing network infrastructure, providing end-user support, and contributing to disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Responsibilities include proactive system monitoring, technical issue resolution, structured documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions to ensure optimal network performance and availability.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize monitoring tools such as Data Dog to proactively monitor network health, identify performance bottlenecks and optimize network resources as needed.
- Network Room Management: Manage network rooms, including equipment installation, cable management and rack organization, ensuring a clean and efficient working environment.
- End User Computing Support: Provide technical support and maintenance for end-user devices and software, including troubleshooting hardware/software issues, managing IT assets, deploying and updating systems, supporting onboarding/offboarding, ensuring compliance with patching and security policies.
- Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and procedures to minimize network downtime in the event of a disaster or outage.
- Business Continuity Planning (BCP): Contribute to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) efforts by ensuring network infrastructure resilience and redundancy, identifying critical systems and services and developing strategies to maintain operations during disruptions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, procedures and incident reports. Provide regular status updates and reports to management as required.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support network-related projects, resolve issues and implement new technologies as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor&aposs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- Expertise in Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki.
- Expertise in MacOS.
- Familiar with Mobile Device Management.
- Knowledge in ticketing system (ServiceNow).
- Hands-on experience working in network rooms, managing equipment and cables.
- Knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) principles and practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Added advantage: Google Workspace, AWS, Data Dog, Jamf, RENTAS, Fast
- Preferably with experience in the banking industry.
